*Robert Hoare, son of John, was born between 1663-1670, in Sommerton, Oxfordshire, England. On November 7, 1692, he married Margaret Caredise.
After Robert's death on June 1, 1725 in Wallingford, Berkshire, England, Margaret purchased 250 acres of land from Joseph Pike on Pequea Creek in Pikeland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1728. Margaret sent her son Robert and his wife Sarah Gibbs to the new world to settle this land.
Robert and Margaret had the following children: Elizabeth, Joseph, Benjamin, and *Robert 1696-?.

*Benjamin Hoare, son of Robert and Sarah, was born in about 1727 and died March of 1802. In the state of Pennsylvania, he married Prudence Davidson.
Benjamin was disowned by the Society of Friends for marrying out of unity (outside of the church). He then joined the Sadsbury (Pennsylvania) Meeting. There he was complained about at a Sadsbury Meeting for drinking to excess, in 1774.
Benjamin and Prudence were blessed by the following children: Benjamin, *John 1765-1825, Elizabeth 1768-1843, David 1780-?, Lydia 1797-?.

*John Hoare, was born about 1765 to Benjamin and Prudence. On January 29, 1795, at Maiden Creek, Berks County, Pennsylvania, he married Hannah Pearson. Hannah was born June 14, 1766, in Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Elizabeth Morris Pearson.
John was a private in the Revolutionary War. He was in Captain Alexander Parker's Company in the Continental line May 1, 1777. No record of a pension request has been found. John and Hannah were farmers. Religiously, John and Hannah were Quakers. The family moved to Sadsbury Township, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania about 1799. Then they moved to Chester Co., Pennsylvania by 1810. John had financial problems and drank, so therefore was disowned by the Quaker Church and no longer appeared in Quaker records.
John died in about 1825 in Chester/Berks County, Pennsylvania. Hannah died before 1830. They are both buried at Sadsbury Friends Cemetery, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
John and Hannah had the following children: *David 1796-?, Jesse Kersey 1799-1884, Thomas 1801-1882, Job 1805-?, Morris 1808-1893, and Elizabeth 1811-?.

*David Hoar, son of John and Hannah, was born about 1796 in Catawissa Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. On May 30, 1822 in Sadsbury, Chester County, Pennsylvania, he married Susannah Monroe/Munroe. Susannah was born in about 1802.
Like his father, Benjamin, David was a farmer. The Septennial Census of Sadsbury Township, in Chester Co., lists David. The 1830 census list shows David and Susan with five children. David was on the Quaker role at Catawiss, monthly meeting in Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania. They came with other family members in 1840, to Pike Township, Knox Co., Ohio, they had to ask permission from the Quaker church to move. In 1860 David moved to Clifton, Grant Co., Wisconsin.
David died between 1860 and 1870. Susannah's date of death is unknown. It is believed that they lived near Boaz, Dayton Township, Wisconsin at the time of their death.
David and Susannah's marriage was blessed with ten children: Jesse Monroe 1825-?, *John David 1826-1902, Morris 1828-?, Hannah E. 1830-?, Margaret E. 1837-?, Joseph R. 1838-?, Eliza Ann 1839-?, Susan 1842-?, Katherine 'Kate' 1843-?, and Jesse Matilda 'Tassie' 1844-1932.

*John David Hoar, son of David and Susannah, was born December 2, 1826 in Lancaster, Chester County, Pennsylvania. On March 3, 1853 in Mt. Carroll, Carroll County, Illinois, he married Hannah Marie Pyle. Hannah was born to John and Ann Lodge Pyle on June 6, 1833 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
John was a preacher and preached part time in a Methodist Church. He also served in the Civil War from 1862 to 1865. In 1849, before John's marriage to Hannah, he went to California in the gold rush. He drove an ox team on a covered wagon to California. Sold them and walked back. John and Hannah moved to Monona Co., Iowa in 1881. In 1883 they moved to Charles Mix Co., South Dakota.
John died on November 24, 1902. Hannah died March 21, 1904. They both died in Holly, Prowers County, Colorado. Both are buried at Prowers County, Colorado.
Their marriage produced these children: Jesse 1869-about 1885, Johnny, Lydia 1854-about 1860, Evan 1856-1872, George R. 1858-1919, David 'Dave' Wilber 1860-1928, Minnie Winifred 1863-1932, Mary 'Emma' 1866-1941, *Frank Carver 1872-1934, Morris Guy 1874-1947, and Evelyn 'Eva' 1878-1956.

*Frank Carver Hoar, son of John David and Hannah Marie, was born on June 12, 1872 near Boaz, Wisconsin. In the days of his youth, he was a surveyor of the Black Hills in South Dakota.
On February 14, 1903, Frank married Helen Dorothy Olive Schoppe. Helen was the daughter of Ferdinand J. and Louise Gesche Schoppe of Ferney, Brown County, South Dakota. Helen was born on April 28, 1885 in Ferney, Brown County, South Dakota.
Frank died on February 15, 1934 in Yuma, Colorado. Helen died on December 2, 1962, in Yuma. In 1935, Helen changed the spelling of the Hoar surname to Harr.
